Welcome to KodeKLIX®

KodeKLIX® is a fun, motivating and easy-to-use platform that guides children as young as eight to learn coding and electronics without the traditional barriers of complex computer syntax or risk of burnt fingers from soldering wires together. The system is unique as it combines both computer coding and electronics hardware to help students understand how things work in the real world.
"Congratulations on being a finalist [WA Innovator of the Year]. I've worked with both littleBits and Brainbox before, but KodeKLIX is affordable, value for money, easy to use and the support is outstanding, especially for a novice like me."*

Coding is in BLOCKLY, a visual coding framework by Google, that allows "code blocks" to be dragged, dropped and edited. Electronics is mastered with snap-together components, much the same way that Lego blocks snap together. Coding is integrated into electronics through KodeKLIX's® programmable components, such as the SnapCPU™ or micro:bit controllers.
Yes, we were [recipients of DoE STEM kits]. My students love them, but they will enjoy KodeKLIX even more because they will be able to integrate coding.*
KodeKLIX® was designed and developed through the collaboration of Australian engineering and education professionals. Uniquely assembled here in Australia, our products are used in primary and secondary schools across all schooling sectors; government, catholic, independent, coding clubs and home schooling.

Western Australian recognised STEM education resource
Kits and teaching materials have been tailored to address a host of curriculum and reporting requirements of the Australian national STEM curriculum in science, technology, engineering and maths subjects.
KodeKLIX®  can address a broad range of STEM requirements:
  • Science: Electricity, materials, light, colours, energy and sustainability
  • Technology: Electronics, coding, sensors, networks and cyber
  • Engineering: Construction, automated mechanisms, motors and actuators
  • Maths: Formulas, logic, unit conversion, sampling and data analysis
Children can play, discover and explore:
  • How does my automatic night light work?
  • How does my TV remote change channels?
  • How does the reversing sensor on my family car know when to beep?
  • How do different coloured lights mix?

  • How are electronic sounds created?
  • How does a volume knob turn my music up and down?
  • How does a solar light know when to come on?
  • How does an air conditioner know when to turn off?
  • How does a motor change speeds?
while following the STEM Technology Design Process and developing their core STEM awareness and skills.
