2022 saw us focus our attentions to the development of a innovative new product for the 5+ age group. Coding with Oscar is a novel screen-free coding system that requires no apps, tablets or computers – instead uses tactile snap-together electronic parts to teach real screenless coding skills.
The coding system utilizes coding pieces called KLIX, similar to our electronic kits and its own coding engine with in-built AI to make it fun. Head over to the dedicated Coding with Oscar website at www.CodingWithOscar.com.au to find out more about this exciting new way to teach or learn coding. |
2021 began with Google recognition of KodeKLIX is a Blockly educational software developer. On the product front, the 3rd generation SnapCPU™ with built-in display (Snap-Vue™) was launched January , along with extended micro:bit support (Kode:Bit PLUS and dedicated website). KodeSTORM™ and KodeBRIX™ product undergoing final evaluations (sample orders being taken).
As 2021 came to a close, 24th November saw us launch our first consumer focused kit available exclusively through our NSW partner; EduKits International Pty Ltd.
The kit features an exclusive coding block which is the 'little brother' of the SnapCPU range used in our school based STEM kits. The kit introduces the basics of circuits, Blockly coding to control circuits, and a number of creative templates to dress these projects with an outer skin to look like a innovative product. This kit is fully supported with video tuition to allow for independently paced learning online. Class bundle sets of this Creative Kids Kit are also to schools. |

2021 also saw us engage with the folk at Tools for Schools to supply and support the roll out of our STEM curriculum aligned CORE and CORE PLUS kits.
As part of this, we had the opportunity to share our experiences for Enhancing Student Engagement Through Technology in Episode 1 of their SCOPE video webinar series. |

KodeKLIX awarded Innovation funding
In 2017 KodeKLIX® was awarded an Innovation Voucher Program funding by the Western Australian Government to help tailor kits and lesson plans to meet the Australian STEM curriculum and incoming reporting requirements. These school kits were successfully trialled in classrooms across Western Australia in Term 4, 2017 with over 400 students experiencing STEM through the KodeKLIX® system. The STEM resources including KodeKLIX® kit and AISWA developed STEM in Practice publications are available to order.
