Many circuits can be built on any flat surface like a table top.
More complicated circuits sometimes benefit from being assembled to this base board. The board has no electrical connections - it is simply an alignment tool. It is completely satisfactory for components to extend outside the edges of the circuit board; and this is common for some very large project models. |
